After 30 years of working as a nurse entrepreneur in the corporate world, I traded in my suits, lab coats, and scrubs for working from home. Although I was excited about my newfound freedom, the years of structure and organization soon became disorder and chaos. I found myself unable to focus for more than just a few minutes at a time. Projects would get started, but never be finished. My mind was foggy, my thoughts were scattered, and I had no energy. I was completely overwhelmed in every area of my life. I thought, “Oh my gosh! Do I have Alzheimer’s?”

Finally after several months, I scheduled a visit to my OB/GYN and he determined I was in the early stages of Menopause!

WHAAATTT?

At 54, it didn’t dawn on me that I was experiencing symptoms of Menopause since I was so panicked by the thought of Alzheimer’s! He suggested a couple of options to relieve my symptoms. We got started right away, and within 10 to 14 days, I started feeling my energy being restored. A little later, the hot flashes started subsiding, and in a few months my brain fog was getting better.

After about 6 months to a year, all of my Menopausal symptoms had improved. I can gladly say I am finally all back to feeling healthy, happy, and whole!
