The end of May and early June are always very busy for me as we take our first vacay around Memorial Day. We’ve traditionally booked it the weekend before and stay the few days after. However, this week has been super crowded at our favorite spot in Sandestin but even more so this year. So after the frustration of this overcrowdedness we’ve decided to change our dates next year to still include Memorial Day but stay the full week after to experience less crowded beaches.

The wait was worth it…

Even so we had an amazing time at the beach and got some much needed relaxation! This trip came on the tail end of our 30 day challenge to Renew, Recharge and Restore our bodies. So my goals were tested just a tad being on vacation. Yes, we splurged a little on fried seafood and fun beachy cocktails but we were able to keep everything in moderation and maintain my goals. So it truly proved that my added supplements I’ve been sharing with y’all truly do work even if you get off course! Give yourself some grace! You can cheat but keep it moderate and jump back on the track the next day. It makes life so much more enjoyable when we feel great and know we can get right back on track!

Time to move (again)!

After 6 days on the beach, eating great seafood, enjoying the relaxation of no schedule to keep we headed home only to repack and head to Nashville the next day to help my daughter Madison move (for the 4th time in 3 years)! Whewwww, my body was tested with going up and down stairs to get all her things out of her roommate’s house to her new and modern Studio apartment. Wow was this a challenge! This girl has so many clothes and shoes and STUFF we had no idea how we were gonna make it all fit! But we got really creative! Gave a lot of things to charity and packed all off season things in big storage baskets to store in the highest shelves (requiring a ladder for her to reach). We also stored under the bed as well. Whew! What a tiring challenge! I don’t think we stopped all weekend until the task was done and the apartment felt organized and tidy. She also has a new puppy and a cat so working around training and playfulness was quite the challenge! Lots of fun but so tedious!

For the love of Tennis

Now it’s back to 2-3 a day tennis matches/drills to prepare for my 2nd state tennis championship of the year! After all my added nutritional supplements  and heat training I am FINALLY READY!

Wish me luck as I take off today for Jackson MS to compete with my team for a spot a the Sectionals championships in Rome, GA late July! We’re READY!
